IMB Group Supervisory Board

IMB Group Supervisory Board is made up of Ñhairman and five members. The Supervisory Board includes four specialized Committees: Audit and Compliance Committee, Credit Review Committee, Corporate Responsibility Committee, and Compensation Committee. The Supervisory Board exercises supervisory functions and sets the strategic vision for the company. The supervisory board is also responsible for the issuance of new equity, debt agreements, the hiring/firing of the Group and Management teams, approval of the external auditors and distribution of profits.

The current Members of the IMB Group Supervisory Board are:

 

Stuart Sinclair

Chairman of the Supervisory Board 

Mr. Stuart Sinclair joined IMB Group Public Limited as Chairman of the Supervisory Board on August 1, 2008. Before joining IMB Group, Mr. Sinclair was President and Chief Operating Officer of Aspen Re, a £ quoted Insurance and Re-Insurance company founded in 2002 as a Private Equity backed venture.   Prior to joining Aspen Re, he was most recently President and CEO, Greater China, GE Financial Services (a part of GE Capital) where he was responsible for setting up JV's and acquisitions in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.  By 2004, when he left for China, total net income approached $0.5 billion.  Prior to his role in China, Mr. Sinclair served as President and U.K. Chief Executive of GE Consumer Finance, during which time he led its rapid growth from a $60m net income business to one over $400 mm in just five years - making it one of the top 15 P&L's in GE.  During this period, Mr. Sinclair was also elected as a Company Officer by the GE Board, one of 17 outside of the US.
 
While at GE Mr. Sinclair was also a guest speaker at Oxford University's Said Business School, Edinburgh University Business School, and Ashridge College speaking on the GE management system, six sigma, and acquisition integration.  Before joining GE Capital, Mr. Sinclair held several positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, including as a Director of the Retail Bank and CEO of Tesco Personal Finance.  Prior to that Mr. Sinclair worked as an economist and management consultant.

 

Peter Wilson

Member of the Supervisory Board, Audit and Compliance Committee, Compensation Committee Member 

Peter Wilson joined Warburg Pincus in 2005 and focuses on the firm’s European later-stage and leveraged investment activities together with financial services investments. Previously, Mr. Wilson spent nine years at Electra Partners where he was a founder director of the Electra European Fund. He also worked as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Wilson graduated from Oxford University and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 

Mark Iwashko

Member of the Supervisory Board,  Credit Review Committee Member 

Prior to co-founding Horizon Capital and serving as its Senior Partner commencing March 2006, Mr. Iwashko served as the Chief Investment Officer and Vice President of WNISEF since February 2001. He has managed private equity transactions and lived in Ukraine since 1996. Prior to WINSEF, Mr. Iwashko was a management consultant for Deloite & Touche and cheaf Financial Officer at Processing Technologies, Inc. He holds MBA from Harvard Business school, MS from University of Illinois, BS from the University of Colorado.  Mr. Iwashko is a U.S. Citizen and speaks English and Ukrainian. 

 

Yuri Blaschuk

Member of the Supervisory Board, Audit and Compliance Committee Chairman, Corporate Responsibility Committee Chairman
 
Mr. Blaschuk joined International Mortgage Bank as CEO in November 2004. He has over than 25 years of reach professional experience in banking. Mr. Blaschuk started his career back in 1980 as an economist of the State Bank branch and in 1988 was promoted to Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Bank Department. Since 1992 he worked in the system of National Bank of Ukraine. During 1992-1998 Y. Blaschuk held the position of Deputy Head of Kyiv City and Region Department and handled the issues of monetary regulation, currency control and banking supervision. From August 1998 to October 2004 - Chairman of the Board of Open Joint Stock Company Vseukrainsky Aktsionerny Bank (VABank). Mr. Blaschuk graduated in 1980 from Kyiv National Economic University, specializing in Finance and Credit. In 2001 obtained the degree of Ph.D. in Economics with specialization “World economy and international economic relations”.

 

Margot Jacobs

Member of the Supervisory Board, Credit Review Committee Chairperson, Corporate Responsibility Member

Margot has over 10 years’ experience in the banking sectors of Russia and Eastern Europe.  She began as an Associate with KPMG Barents Group in Moscow in 1994, and went on to spend three years with United Financial Group as Senior Banking Analyst and Deputy Head of Research. From 2000-2002, she was a Director within Charlemagne Capital’s private equity group, and participated in the acquisitions of majority stakes of banks in Croatia and Bulgaria. She served as a member of the Board of Directors of Dalmatinska, Istarska and Sisacka Banka in Croatia and of Hebros Bank in Bulgaria. She joined East Capital in February 2006. Margot has a BA from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. An American citizen, she is fluent in English and Russian, as well as proficient in Serbo-Croatian. Margot is a CFA charter holder. 

 

Paul Best

Member of the Supervisory Board, Credit Review Committee Member

Paul Best joined Warburg Pincus in 2002 and focuses on the firm's European later-stage and leveraged investment activities together with financial services investments. He is involved with Warburg Pincus' investments in IMB Group, Synesis Life, Clondalkin, Ideal Stelrad and is a supervisory board director of the Dutch Cable companies Multikabel, Casema and Kabelcom. Previously, Mr Best spent two years at Morgan Stanley, where he was a member of the mergers and acquisitions group. He graduated from Cambridge University with a MA in mathematics.
